HOBUM's sustainability strategy is structured in accordance with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). We consider different dimensions: Environmental, social and corporate governance.
Our commitment is methodically guided by dual materiality. It assesses the impact of the company on the environment and also the impact of the changing environment on the company in the environmental, social and corporate governance dimensions.
Environmental dimension
The central aim of our sustainability activities is to minimise the impact of our company on the environment: We want to protect and preserve air, water, soil, flora, and fauna. This also ensures the continued existence of our business model, which is based on bio-based, renewable raw materials.
We complement this effectively with measures such as avoiding waste and emissions, saving energy and environmentally friendly procurement.
Our greenhouse gas inventory and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) for our products provide a clear picture of our activities in the "Environment" dimension.
Corporate governance dimension
Our corporate governance is characterised by transparency and ethical behaviour. Our corporate structure and underlying philosophy reflect this self-imposed standard. We not only demand this of ourselves, but also of our supply chains.
All stakeholders are committed to our principles of sustainability and responsible corporate governance. We continuously improve these guidelines and record them in the "Corporate management/governance" dimension.

Social dimension

We document our commitment to society, local communities, and their members in the "Social" dimension.
