Transparency

Transparency is a key aspect of designing sustainable processes. With this in mind, we invite you to get to know our various fields of activity and the methodology behind them.

The key figures and scopes used are based on the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC.

In addition, lists of product carbon footprints (PCFs) - the CO2 footprint of our products - are made available at via the EcoVadis online platform.

Our environmental commitment in figures

Scope 1 emissions are emissions from sources for which companies are directly responsible or controlled. This includes emissions from energy sources at the Hamburg-Harburg site as well as emissions from our vehicle fleet.

Scope 2 emissions are indirect greenhouse gas emissions from purchased energy (electricity, water vapour, district heating). They are generated outside our own system boundaries but consumed by us.

Scope 3 emissions are all indirect emissions that arise along our value chain. They originate from facilities that are not owned or controlled by us. We indirectly influence these activities within our value chain.
